Grenada Family Network is Still On the Air…

But for how much longer?

Hello dear friends,

Right now you may be thinking, “What a strange headline. Has something changed with GFN?”  Well, yes actually.

As many of you probably know, the Bartels who founded and built Grenada Family Network over the past 10 + years were called by God this past summer to move back to the United States where they continue to serve as Directors of GFN. Locally, the daily operation of GFN Radio has continued though the help of dedicated volunteers Matt and Stephanie Bergsma as well as church members.  Operating funds however have been declining and we still need your help!

It is has been a great blessing that so many of you have been willing to sacrifice to support the financial needs of GFN over the past few years, yet I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that God isn’t finished with Grenada Family Network! There is still a great work to be done and we believe that the best days of GFN are still ahead. Already the heavenly influence of the radio station has been wonderful.

Please, take a few minutes to watch this 5 minute video of a couple who are now loyal GFN listeners.

The Work Is Not Finished

GFN radio is regularly heard in homes, public buses, businesses, and government offices, but there is much more to be done.  Soon we expect to have GFN Radio 100.3 FM broadcasting to the north half of Grenada.  John Bartels will return to Grenada to oversee the installation of new transmitters for radio and TV. Oh, and I can’t forget TV!  My family and I will be moving to Grenada in the next few weeks to organize and prepare hundreds of hours of programming for GFN TV!  As soon as possible we want to begin broadcasting GFN TV locally on Channel 4 and globally streaming on the Internet. We believe the impact of peaceful music, biblical preaching and family friendly programming will be even greater than what has been achieved through the radio station. The promise of Isaiah 60, verses 1-3 must be fulfilled again because Jesus is coming soon.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”

The only question is, will you and I be a part of sharing God’s love with a world in darkness?  I hope and pray that we will, because if we aren’t we will miss out on the greatest blessing heaven has to give. Consider this quote from a lady who knew something about the joy of sharing Jesus with those in darkness:

The Saviour’s joy is in seeing, in the kingdom of glory, the souls that have been saved by His agony and humiliation. And the redeemed will be sharers in His joy, as they behold, among the blessed, those who have been won to Christ through their prayers, their labors, and their loving sacrifice. As they gather about the great white throne, gladness unspeakable will fill their hearts, when they behold those whom they have won for Christ, and see that one has gained others, and these still others, all brought into the haven of rest, there to lay their crowns at Jesus’ feet and praise Him through the endless cycles of eternity.—The Great Controversy, 646, 647.

By God’s grace, GFN is still on the air after 5 amazing years of continuous broadcasting and we trust will remain so until all have heard the Good News of God’s love and soon return of Jesus! Don’t miss this opportunity to help lighten Grenada and the world with God’s glory!

Sincerely,

Steve Shedell
